Senior Accountant - Permanent Office Based, Finglas

The Role
Join our team as a Senior Accountant on a permanent basis. This role reports to the Head of Finance and is based in our Finglas, Dublin office.
This position offers a varied, dynamic, and interesting role providing exposure to many aspects of the end-to-end accounting function. It will suit someone who is goal orientated, diligent, and comfortable working on their own initiative or as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong financial management background and be a quick learner with a high attention to detail. We are looking for someone energetic, highly organised, and who thrives in a varied work environment.

Principal Accountabilities
* Manage accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition, monitor vendor and supplier information to ensure accuracy.
* Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
* Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
* Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
* Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
* Ensure all reporting is compliant with statutory law and financial regulations.
* Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
* Act and behave in a professional ethical way at all times.
* Streamline and improve accounting systems and operations.
* Oversee the management of cash flow and debt collection.
* Supervise and manage financial department staff.
* Manage the audit process and liaise with external personnel as required.
* Ensure proper credit control and produce ageing reports and take action to rectify old or bad debts.
* Assist the Head of Finance in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
* Ensure data integrity and cooperate to ensure the protection of company data IT security.

The Person
Qualifications/Experience:
* The person appointed will be a qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Accountant as certified by the relevant qualification authority.
* 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
* Strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and work to tight deadlines.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.
* Strong IT/Systems experience.
* Experience with Access Dimensions or similar ERP systems advantageous.
* Proficiency using accounting software and other IT applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
