Salesforce's Pre-Sales Technical Architects are the solutions team members who know what's possible and how to make it happen, no matter how complex the challenge appears to be.
Your Impact - Responsibilities
* Work with EMEA SMB customers to solve technical challenges using the whole portfolio of Salesforce solutions.
* Develop relationships with CIO/CTO/CISO teams, guiding them towards long-term success with Salesforce technology infrastructure.
* Understand customer needs and establish Salesforce as the best solution that addresses technical and business requirements.
* Present Salesforce technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with platform capabilities, hosting infrastructure, security, and integration capabilities.
* Conduct architecture and technical workshops to provide actionable technical recommendations aligned with client business objectives.
* Handle customer technical due diligence and risk management processes.
* Translate business requirements into solution architectures and roadmaps that leverage the Salesforce platform and products for successful implementation and adoption.
* Participate in product, sales, and procedural training and certification to acquire necessary knowledge.
* Lead the SMB Technical Architect Community to enable less technical solutions colleagues and act as a multiplier.
* Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop internal and external programs and initiatives.
* Mentor junior team members within the ESMB Solution Engineering organisation and Account Executive teams.
Key Requirements:
* Ability to understand business and IT department requirements, translating those needs into compelling solutions and presenting recommendations to executive, technical, and business audiences.
* Deep knowledge of enterprise software applications and their delivery, including coding experience, database and data management fundamentals, web and mobile application development, and more.
* Good understanding of architectural principles of cloud-based platforms, including SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, and multi-tiered infrastructure.
* Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills, with ability to support multiple concurrent projects.
* Lifelong learning, practical problem-solving, and passion for technology sharing.
Preferred Requirements:
* Experience working as an architect, solution engineer, or developer in a customer-facing role providing differentiated software technology solutions.
* Knowledge of risk mitigation, compliance, and security.
* Understanding of design thinking, persona-based discovery, and innovation techniques.
* Industry experience in a specific field, vertical, or market segment is helpful.
* Knowledge of the Salesforce platform and certifications.
