Role Summary
This role is for an experienced staff member to join a non-profit homeless services provider in Dublin, Ireland.
The Role:
As a full-time staff member on a 2-year fixed-term contract, you will be responsible for assessing and supporting families and individuals navigating homelessness to settlement. The salary for this position is approximately €36,000-€39,000 per year.
Duties:
* Visit families and individuals in emergency accommodation or their own homes to conduct assessments and reviews.
* Develop and implement support plans with those referred to the service.
* Work within a client-centered approach, encouraging autonomy and independence.
* Establish links with local services, community groups, and housing providers as necessary.
* Maintain accurate records and statistics in accordance with organisational policy.
* Participate in the evaluation and development of the service.
* Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Requirements and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A relevant third-level qualification at degree level, such as social care, psychology, or sociology.
* Proven experience working in a social care setting.
* A willingness to develop professional skills as identified through supervision.
* A clean driver's license (desirable).
* Experience in dealing with child protection and welfare responsibilities.
* Carrying out assessments, including risk assessments.
* Developing support plans and carrying out reviews.
* Managing challenging behavior.
