DescriptionThis role is responsible for championing the Data & Analytics team and our information assets across the business. He/she will be effective in embedding customer, passenger & operations insight and democratising data for the company, our customers and our passengers. This position will form a key part of the Labs Leadership team.Responsibilities
Drive Digital and Commercial analytics to support Labs first in Digital objective.
Lead the development & implementation of a company wide Data & Analytics vision, strategy & roadmap ensuring it is clearly aligned to business goals. This includes investment decisions to deliver the strategy (systems, process & partners) and managing the CAPEX and OPEX budget
Develop a programme to deliver BI and analytics solutions that address real business problems & opportunities and generate tangible business outcomes.
Push self-service to ensure that daa becomes a data driven organisation where data is treated as a cross functional strategic asset
Ensure the effective management of daa’s data assets through best in class data management principles, methodologies and tools
Be the leader of data insights that help drive strategic and tactical business opportunity
Continuously challenge the business to think differently about how we use our information to drive internal process and decisions.
Ensure the team structure is fit for purpose and the team and individual objectives are aligned to the data & analytics strategy.
Identify new sources of data to drive innovation throughout the organisation and define processes for the effective integration of new data sources
Identify and standardise the use and governance of data and Develop methods to ensure consistent application and use of analytics.
Qualifications
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities with proven experience delivering solutions that drive business outcomes.
Experience in data warehousing design and data architecture processes and standards at an enterprise level
Expert level with business information generation and analysis methods
Ability to effectively drive people, process and technology change in a complex operating environment
Gravitas to sell and embed an information strategy at all levels of the business
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain data management &, advanced analytics concepts and outcomes to business leaders
Strategic Awareness, ability to input and where appropriate shape the short, medium- and longer-term strategy of the business
Strong Prioritisation Skills. Do less, but better and with more rigour and implication led focus.
