Job Title: Operations Systems Support
The successful candidate will be part of the Operations Systems Support team, focusing primarily on support of the NMS/OMS system which is a high availability Operational Technology (OT) system to assist with the safe and secure management and operation of the distribution network.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support of the NMS/OMS system including system monitoring, model management, troubleshooting and resolution of system issues and application testing.
* Supporting business users and managing communications to these users.
* Carrying out training needs analysis and recommending best practice solutions.
* Develop training and deliver training solutions within agreed timeframes to Networks quality standards.
* Improving and modifying training courses using customer feedback.
* Working with the NMS vendor and other teams ensuring a quality end-to-end service to end users.
* Assisting in the development of work procedures and methods.
* Provide support for the delivery of NMS and related projects.
Requirements:
* Advanced Level 6 Electrical Craft Certificate or suitable Level 7 or higher qualification in Electrical, Electrical Services, Electronics, Mechanical or other suitable alternative qualification with a sizeable electrical theory content.
* Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
* Knowledge or experience of electricity distribution network operations.
* Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong IT skills and technical capability.
* A willingness to embrace change and work with new technologies and procedures as they emerge.
