The Clinical Nurse Manager 3 (CNM3) will be part of the Surgery Directorate senior nurse management team.
S/he will provide professional, clinical and managerial leadership to all nursing staff in particular the clinical nurse manager 2 grade.
S/he will be recognised as an expert practitioner, will have direct clinical involvement and develop, maintain and evaluate an environment that supports the provision of excellence in patient care.
The CNM3 will develop the scope of specialist and advanced nursing practice and promote and support continued professional development across all grades.
S/he will have direct responsibility for the provision of nursing services in the Surgery Directorate.
In line with the Directorate Service Plan, ensure that agreed performance targets are measured and met and delivered within budget.
The Surgery Directorate incorporates the National Spinal Injuries Unit and the inpatient trauma unit for Major Trauma Centre (Central Network).
Other regional and tertiary specialties include ophthalmology, ENT, colorectal, gynaecology, hepatobiliary, urology, maxillofacial and plastic & reconstructive surgery.
