Due to expansion, we look to hire a Site Engineer to join the team permanently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Level survey of the area before digging
* Checking of setting out and finished levels for boundary walls, foundations, trial pits, pop ups etc.
* Call or email Engineers to inspect the ground (min 24 hours’ notice)
* Check the formation levels (make sure digging to virgin ground)
* Take photos before lean mix installation
* Check the levels to ensure foundations are poured to the correct level, especially at sole plate locations
* Provide gridline and datum information for trade setting out
* Setting out checks for block work
* Check the drawings for penetrations in block work below G/F Slab
* Check services, insulation and Radon installation and take photos
* Invite Engineers to inspect the reinforcement before concrete G/F slab (for suspended slabs only) with 24 hours’ notice if possible
* Take photos of reinforcement before concrete
* Scaffold setting out
* Setting out for landscaping / garden walls etc.
* Liaise with Project Manager
* Ensure all photos are uploaded to the box daily/weekly
* Paperwork management
* Control documents
* Tree protection inspection and register
* As-built surveys
* Timber frame QA, verticality and line checks, levels, structural opening checks both externally and internally, fire stopping measures
* Temporary works design checks and inspections
* Cut and fill and terracing level surveys before and after
* Drawing register distribution, checking contractors’ revision status etc.
* Action engineers site inspection reports and comments
