Castle Group is seeking a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Galway team, providing expert cost management across a range of high-profile projects. Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Control & Management: Conduct pre-contract cost control and offer expert guidance to design teams and clients to ensure budget adherence and cost efficiency.
2. Document Preparation: Oversee pre-contract documentation, working closely with the project and design teams.
3. Post-Contract Functions: Manage interim recommendations, cost reporting, client meetings, and final account reconciliations.
4. Estimating & Planning: Take charge of estimating, cost planning, preparing bills of quantities, and compiling contract documentation.
5. Reporting: Prepare cost reports, monthly valuations, and final accounts for projects.
6. Claim Resolution: Review and address any contractual claims effectively and efficiently.
7. Mentorship: Train and mentor assistant and junior quantity surveyors, supporting their growth within the Castle Group team.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
2. Experience: 10+ years experience in cost management across various project phases, with proven expertise in both pre-contract and post-contract functions.
3. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in cost estimation software and overall computer literacy.
4. Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and managerial abilities, with excellent communication skills and commercial awareness.
5. Proactive Mindset: A flexible, proactive approach to problem-solving and client relations.
