Cpl, in partnership with our client Pfizer, is seeking a QC Chemist to join their team at the Newbridge site for an 11-month contingent fixed-term contract. This is an onsite role.
QC Chemist
Position Summary
The QC Chemist is responsible for laboratory operations and compliance activities with minimal supervision. The role involves extensive laboratory testing, issue resolution, and a focus on continuous improvement and Right First Time (RFT) principles.
Main Responsibilities
1. Perform sampling and analysis routinely; may provide target training to team members.
2. Write laboratory investigations, ensure compliant and timely resolution of events, and participate in error reduction activities.
3. Perform additional laboratory duties as required and conduct peer reviews.
4. Provide efficient, customer-focused service by maintaining laboratory processes, equipment, and services in an operational and safe state.
5. Participate in non-routine or complex projects.
6. Write laboratory documentation, protocols, reports, and PRRs.
7. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to related projects.
8. Ensure compliance with site policies, cGMP/GLP, and environmental, health, safety regulations.
9. Maintain the responsibility area in audit-ready and compliant condition, with proper documentation.
10. Prioritize safety and housekeeping.
11. Execute responsibilities aligned with Right First-Time principles.
12. Resolve issues or escalate appropriately.
13. Demonstrate company values and Pfizer competencies.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education: Third-level qualification in a relevant discipline is essential.
Experience: Relevant laboratory experience and knowledge of cGMPs are desirable. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required. Ability to work independently and in a team is essential.
