About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Health & Safety Officer to join our client's team. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work with a leading Main Contractor in Ireland and contribute to maintaining a safe workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stay updated on new legislation and maintain a thorough understanding of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations.
2. Develop and deliver in-house training programs for managers and employees on health and safety matters and risks.
3. Create and communicate safe operational procedures that identify and address relevant hazards and ensure all employees are aware of them.
4. Record and analyze inspection findings, producing reports that suggest improvements.
5. Engage with HSE, Fire Officers, and Environmental Health Officers through Toolbox Talks and other means.
6. Conduct regular site inspections to verify that policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to.
7. Modify working practices to ensure they are safer and comply with current legislation.
Essential Requirements
1. A recognized EHS degree or diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred).
2. At least 7 years of experience in a H&S Construction role.
3. Residential and Commercial background highly desirable.
