EU4Health is a comprehensive mental health project, funded by European Union and managed by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), which involves 29 National Societies across Europe to support Ukrainians.
The programme runs from July 2024 to July 2025.
The project will implement a tiered support system comprising various interventions: Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), Problem Management Plus (PM+) group sessions, Psychological First Aid (PFA) provided by volunteers, and Self-Help Plus (SH+) for individuals.
The IRC will train staff, volunteers, and other professionals to provide these service, and conduct assessments to identify needs and resources.
The AMIF programme : the mental health component of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) grant.
The current AMIF programme runs from 2021-2027.
Specific activities include a trauma counselling service to be delivered nationally.
SUMMARY OF ROLEThe Health and Wellbeing Programme Manager plays a crucial role in supervising and coordinating Irish Red Cross mental health and wellbeing projects and services.
