Project Manager
We are hiring a Business Project Manager on behalf of a public service client. This is a 6-month contract initially, based in Dublin 7. On-site presence is required in Dublin 7.
The role involves working with various teams to design and implement new immunisation programmes, as well as improvements and changes to existing programmes.
Salary:
$58,000 per annum (Grade VII - starting scale)
Responsibilities
1. Administration
* Develop and implement service plans for the area of responsibility.
* Manage the administration of the area of responsibility efficiently.
* Execute assignments according to agreed plans, budgets, and deadlines.
* Prepare regular reports on the progress of work against the operational plan.
* Provide accurate information to management in a timely manner.
* Inform management of ideas/solutions to maximise effective use of resources/improve service delivery.
2. Customer Service
* Promote and maintain a customer-focused environment.
* Seek feedback from service users/customers to evaluate service and implement change.
3. Human Resources / Supervision of Staff
* Supervise and enable other team members to carry out their responsibilities.
* Line manage staff as required.
* Review the conduct and completion of assignments of staff.
* Keep in touch with workloads of staff members to gauge levels of wellbeing and morale in the team.
* Manage the performance of staff, dealing with underperformance in a timely and constructive manner.
4. Service Delivery and Service Improvement
* Promote and participate in the implementation and management of change.
* Identify inequities/inefficiencies in service administration and implement solutions to improve service delivery.
* Maintain a good understanding of internal and external factors that can affect service delivery.
5. Standards, Regulations, Policies, Procedures & Legislation
* Contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
* Effectively discharge the day-to-day operations, including compliance with HSE Financial regulations.
* Maintain knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices.
Requirements
* Qualification or certification in Project Management, Project Management Principles/practices.
* A level 5 qualification.
* Experience in project management in large scale projects.
* Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience of delivering change in complex environments.
* Right to work in Ireland required.
