Role: Occupational Health Nurse
An Garda Síochána seeks a qualified Occupational Health Nurse to join their team at the Garda Occupational Health Service (GOHS).
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out prescribed health screening and surveillance, as well as other occupational health clinical activities and interventions.
* Work with the Chief Medical Officer and existing team to support employees of An Garda Síochána in maintaining their health and well-being.
* Develop and implement health promotion programs, including vaccination programs and educational talks.
* Participate in case management and follow-up of personnel absent on medical grounds or reporting health issues.
* Liaise with treating clinical professionals and provide relevant occupational health reports and updates.
* Conduct Audiometry, Spirometry, Vision Screening, Phlebotomy, and VDU ergonomics assessments.
Requirements:
* Registration in the General Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
* At least 3 years post-registration experience, with at least 2 years' experience in the specialty or related area of Occupational Health.
* Demonstrated evidence of continuous professional development.
* Clinical and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
