Clare Animal Welfare has seen an increase in the level of fostering and rehoming over the past number of months.
They are currently looking for a volunteer coordinator to oversee the recruitment and selection of volunteers that apply to volunteer for the organisation.
Volunteers would need to be able to work from their own home and carry out the following:
1. Advertise the volunteer roles through various information platforms
2. Follow up with recruitment & selection via phone or email
3. Outline the screening process involved when volunteering for Clare Animal Welfare
4. Ensure the volunteers understand the ethos of Clare Animal Welfare
5. Place volunteers in the various roles based on their area of interest and location
6. Carry out the briefing and training for all volunteers involved with the organisation
7. Maintain accurate volunteer records
8. Manage the volunteer database
Please note that the volunteer must have a minimum of 3 to 4 hours a week available for this role and have the ability to work from home. The committee will provide full support as well as an induction process.

Clare Animal Welfare is a non-profit, charity organisation based in East Clare. They actively search for permanent, quality homes for their animals through advertisements in local newspapers, veterinary clinics, pet shops, and special events that provide exposure. They actively support, encourage, and promote neutering of pet dogs/cats as an ethical solution to the over-population and killing of dogs in Ireland. Their aim is to improve the welfare of dogs/cats through general education of the public and through educational programmes for children.

Minimum time commitment: 6 months
