Data Center Facility Engineer (Mech/Elec) - UAE National Only

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're the people who keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to innovation.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. Job Summary
The Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer is a hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder.
Main Responsibilities
* Safety: Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and encourage a world-class safety culture. Ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams.
* Engineering & Facility Operations and Maintenance: Support electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS's), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), and Transformers.
* Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
* Root Cause Analysis: Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
* Innovation: Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities.
A Day in the Life
* Rotational Shifts: Work rotational shifts of 4 days of 12 hours shifts (2 days followed by 2 nights), and 4 days off (including night, weekends, and holidays).
* On-Call Rotation: Respond to on-call rotation reaction to off-duty emergency calls.
* Daily Operational Readings: Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.).
* Supervising Contractors: Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management or similar technical focus.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls).
- Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory.
- Knowledge of generic mechanical room infrastructure such as chillers, cooler units, and fan controls.
