The Racing Department administrator supports the day-to-day requirements of the busy racing department in servicing the racing industry.
This is a 1 year fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high quality administrative support within the sections of the Racing Department which may include Entries & Declarations, Registrations, Publications and Race Planning
* Provide excellent customer service in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner with the ability to advise clients where appropriate, in line with our Customer Charter
* Accurately and efficiently process and enter data into specialised racing databases
* Deliver up-to-date information and reports to meet tight deadlines
* Take care and attention in the proof-reading of publications such as race registrations, race cards, results, and other racing publications
* Develop good working relationships with business representatives throughout the organisation and with our external clients
* Provide excellence in communication, internally and externally, in terms of both quality and frequency
* Assist with projects and deliverables as may be required by management from time to time
Skills and Experience:
* Strong understanding of the horse racing industry
* Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and presentation
* Previous experience working in a customer focused environment
* Ability to take instruction and triage queries to a high standard
* Strong attention to detail with high quality work output
* High levels of computer literacy
* Ability to work under pressure in a time sensitive environment
* Self-motivated and quick to learn

* Flexibility in working days to include weekend work and hours
