Position
The Role….
We are looking to recruit a Design Engineer to join our Gas Transmission Networks design team. The successful candidate will join an established team with senior support and will have the opportunity to acquire a broad range of skills and experience in design and project management.
The role will provide essential engineering, communications, and project delivery skills transferrable across any engineering project.
The location for this role will be in our Cork office, with consideration for applications for our Portlaoise office.
The initial role will include:
* Innovation and Development projects in Hydrogen and Biomethane
* Working within a design team including Mechanical, Civil, E&I, CP, and drafting team members
* Design from first principles and development of Design Drawings and specifications as well as Conceptual, Preliminary, and Detailed Design Reports
* Surveying of natural gas installations
* Liaising with local authorities, customers, and other stakeholders
* Presentation of design solutions to clients
* Participation in HAZID/HAZOP and LOPA studies
* Design & Project Management from conceptual phase through to project completion in the Gas network sector

Requirements
The Candidate….
The ideal candidate will have:
* Engineering degree (Level 8 or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or similar discipline.
* 2+ years post-graduate experience.
* Experience in the Gas Industry.
* Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Good academic record.
* Full clean driving license and own transport required.
* Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
