Job Description:
The Person in Charge is responsible for delivering the highest possible standards of support to individuals with disabilities in a residential service. This role involves ensuring compliance with Department of Health Regulations and HIQA Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate daily activities, providing support and care to residents
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Department of Health Regulations and HIQA Standards
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care
* Recruit, train, and supervise staff members to ensure adequate staffing levels and quality of care
* Monitor and evaluate services to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary
* Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to data protection and confidentiality guidelines
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a managerial role within a social care setting
* Professional degree (level 7) in Social Care or relevant qualification
* Experience in managing residential services, preferably with autism expertise
* Level 6 management qualification
* Full driving license and access to own transport
* Working knowledge of legislation and HIQA standards of care
