Maintenance Electrician
This is a permanent, full-time role based in Foynes, Co. Limerick, with a 40-hour workweek and no on-call requirements.
Role Overview
The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of electrical systems within a fuel terminal environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform maintenance and fault diagnosis on electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
* Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repairs.
* Maintain LV distribution systems, lighting, emergency lighting, and fire alarms.
* Perform electrical inspections and testing to BS 7671 and BS 60079 standards, including hazardous area work.
* Update and maintain CMMS systems such as Maximo or similar platforms.
* Support subcontractors during emergent work or technical surveys.
* Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
* Participate in training and development programs to meet operational and safety requirements.
Requirements
* Time-served apprenticeship with a Level 3 electrical qualification.
* At least 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience in a hands-on electrical or mechanical maintenance role.
* Experience with PLCs, safety circuits, SCADA, variable speed drives, and control systems.
* Familiarity with electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
* Strong fault-finding skills using wiring diagrams.
* Full, valid driving license.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* CompEx certification (1 to 4) or willingness to obtain it.
* 18th Edition IEE Regulations.
* Experience in petrochemical or process industry environments.
* Knowledge of ATG systems, SCADA, COMAH, or hazardous area safety.
* Additional training or certification in first aid, confined space, or fire safety.
