At the Clanree Hotel, we are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager.
Responsible for the operation of the Restaurant and banqueting functions, ensuring all guests receive the highest possible standards of customer service, reflecting the Clanree Hotel Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Endeavor to maximize profits and reduce costs where possible while ensuring all Hygiene and Health and Safety standards are maintained.
* Arrange bookings, table plans, and allocate work to team members.
* Direct and supervise the activities of the Restaurant and functions, ensuring high standards of service and that guest needs are met.
* Be fully aware of hotel facilities, activities, budgets, and targets, including revenue, covers, and average spend.
* Have thorough knowledge of all Restaurant menus and beverages, including ingredients, preparation, and service of all items.
* Greet customers, take orders, and provide advice to guests regarding dishes and accompaniments, together with wines and beverages available.
* Ensure all guests are served efficiently and in a friendly manner, communicating with them during their meal to ensure satisfaction.
* Ensure all restaurant charges are raised for food and beverages consumed, in accordance with cash handling procedures.
* Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the restaurant and working areas.
* Follow and observe all hygiene regulations.
* Check and ensure room service trays are delivered efficiently and in accordance with Clanree Hotel Standards.
* Continuously improve Restaurant/function service.
* Responsible for the recruitment and selection of staff for the department in conjunction with the General Manager and Personnel.
* Plan and deliver recorded training for new and existing team members, ensuring all staff are competent to carry out their duties.
* Adhere to security procedures, including the security of cash, keys, equipment, and property.
* Communicate effectively with other departments within the Hotel, including attending Head of Department meetings.
* React to changes in business levels to control department costs and expenses.
* Lead and motivate all members of the Restaurant team to encourage maximum commitment.
* Adhere to liquor licensing laws.
* Take advantage of every opportunity to upsell the business.
* Consistently deliver the Clanree Hotel Hospitality Promise and superior customer service.
* Handle customer complaints professionally and notify management of the same.
* Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and comply with the Hotel grooming policy.
