A well established nursing home in Dublin North has an opportunity for an Assistant Director of Nursing.
Job Summary:
As an Assistant Director of Nursing, you will maintain high standards of daily care and activities in accordance with best practices within available resources. Planning, development, and management will be part of your daily responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
1. Third level Degree in Nursing
2. Actively registered with NMBI
3. 3rd level Healthcare management qualification
4. Minimum of 3 years experience working with older people within the last six years of your career
5. Experienced people manager of good character

Qualifications:
1. Registered on the Live Register in the General Division of the Register of Nurses as maintained by the NMBI

Experience:
1. Minimum of 5 years elderly care experience, with 3 at management level
2. Knowledge of the Nursing Home Industry
3. Full understanding of the National Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People
4. Wide general nursing experience and proven leadership qualities
5. Experience/qualification in Gerontology
6. Evidence of consistent updating of clinical skills and knowledge
7. Demonstrable coaching & development skills within clinical practice
8. Competent and confident IT skills
9. Knowledge of caring for people with dementia

2. Anticipate staffing needs within departments
3. Enjoy working within a team
4. Clarify individual roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities
