Join a large and busy civils contractor based in Tyrone with Irish site visits as a SHEQ Advisor.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a SHEQ Advisor. Reporting to the Senior SHEQ Manager, you will be responsible for health and safety, environmental and quality assurance on construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct safety audits, inspections and investigations
* Ensure regular risk assessments
* Ensure all accidents are recorded
* Maintain and update all relevant SHEQ Department administration
You will also assist in developing documentation for the SHE Management System to comply with OHSAS and ISO standards, compile reports and ensure compliance is consistently maintained, and plan and coordinate SHEQ related training for employees.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification
* Exposure to and understanding of implementation of OHSAS 45001 or 18001 and ISO 14001 and 9001
* A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar Health and Safety role within the construction sector
* Previous experience in the civil engineering industry is preferred
* Experience of co-ordinating Health and Safety, ISO Quality Standards, Internal Auditing and conducting risk assessments and corresponding corrective action plans
* A high level of administrative/IT skills
