Job Title: ICT Project Officer
This is a suitably skilled ICT Project Officer position that requires joining our public sector client team. The role will be remote working, but the successful candidate must be available to attend client sites when required.
Working 35 hours per week, the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €30.17 per hour based on an annualised salary of €55,093.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Analyse applications and system performance.
* Prioritise, investigate, resolve and determine root cause of reported issues.
* Assist in the process of determining and specifying user requirements; for application solutions, and for required management and operational reports.
* Contribute to the planning of project tasks and activities.
* Research, organise and complete tasks and activities within defined timeframes.
* Liaise between user groups and technical specialists.
* Liaise with external and internal clients.
* Analyse clients' existing systems and business models.
* Map and document interfaces between legacy and new systems.
* Identify options for potential solutions and assess same for technical and business suitability.
* Conduct requirements analysis and prepare specific proposals for modified or replacement systems.
* Work closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
* Ensure deadlines met.
* Support users on change control and system updates.
* Support management in the delivery of service level agreements from outside suppliers and vendors as required.
* Prepare feasibility reports on new systems including cost/benefits analysis.
* Support and train other staff in the team.
* Co-ordinate, monitor and review the work of Vendors.
* Manage the performance of vendors, dealing with underperformance in a timely and constructive manner.
Skills & Knowledge
* Professional Knowledge & Experience
* Understanding of relational databases, e.g. Microsoft SQL server.
* Demonstrates knowledge and experience of ICT services and/or projects.
* Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the health service and the issues in implementing ICT enabled change.
* Demonstrates report writing skills.
* Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience working in an ICT applications support environment.
* Must demonstrate experience of having an excellent working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite and report writing.
* Knowledge and understanding of ITIL or PRINCE2.

* Third Level Education Qualification
This position may be subject to Garda Vetting and Foreign Police Clearance, if applicable you will be required to obtain these prior to commencing in this role.
