Our Tullamore plant, which is ISO certified to 13485 and operates in a certified class 8 cleanroom, has a vacancy for a Manufacturing Supervisor on a 3 cycle rotating shift pattern.
The purpose of the Manufacturing Supervisor is to lead, organise, develop, supervise and support the Manufacturing teams through day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible and accountable for the duties below:
* Maintain EHS TRIR=0 and highlight any concerns or non-compliance immediately.
* Lead team and assign tasks as required to ensure maximum uptime and utilisation of resources.
* Support training and development of Manufacturing employees.
* Communicate regularly and effectively with other teams and departments.
* Build quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements and product specifications including GMP, GDP and PPE.
* Proactively lead, manage and upskill the Manufacturing Team Members to achieve optimum results.
* Manage performance, support and motivate Manufacturing Team Members to achieve plant metrics.
* Manage attendance in conjunction with HR and carry out timely documented counselling and disciplinary actions as required.
* Create and maintain an environment that promotes and fosters teamwork.
* Implement and support HR systems, policies, procedures and practices.
* Support Setup and run production processes from raw materials to finished goods according to Specifications, Parameters and SOPs.
* Lead team to maintain efficiency with the objective of achieving Scrap, OEE and FPY plant goals.
* Ensure attainment to schedule to achieve OTIF.
* Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
* Ensure compliance with agreed customer requirements.
* Report equipment faults and follow-up for quick resolution.
* Any other duties as required.

* Good mechanical and technical aptitude to understand plastics processing and the overall operating principles of the extrusion process.
* Ability to monitor quality control specifications and document results.

Qualifications & Skills
* Computer Literate.
* 12 months experience of extrusion in a controlled environment (cleanroom) desirable.
* Medical extrusion experience a distinct advantage.
* Experience of people management.
* 3rd level related qualification desirable but not essential.
