Job Title: Technical Manager
Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with a family-run food manufacturing business on the appointment of a Technical Manager for their site based near Downpatrick.
The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with production, quality assurance, and senior management to uphold the highest industry standards while ensuring operational efficiency.
Daily Responsibilities
* Oversight of the factory's food safety, quality, and compliance programs to ensure adherence to UK and international food industry standards.
* Managing HACCP plans, maintaining BRC accreditation, conducting internal audits.
* Leading the technical and productions team in driving continuous improvement in food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a technical leadership role within the food manufacturing industry.
* Extensive knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, UK food legislation, and retailer codes of practice.
* Internal auditor qualification with experience in conducting BRC and GMP audits.
* Trained to HACCP Level 4.
* Experience managing food safety incidents and leading root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
* Proficient in food safety management systems, microbiology, and allergen management.
