Clinical Design Organization Overview:
Does bringing some of the largest transformational changes to clinical research in two decades excite you? On the Clinical Design & Operations team, we work as one team partnering with Lilly Research Laboratories and the Clinical Design Hub delivering cost-effective science through the development of novel and innovative clinical trial designs and technology solutions. Our business outcomes are focused on speeding drug development and providing the best experience for providers and patients.
Purpose and Responsibilities:
As a IT Analyst /Operations Support Lead you will be part of a global operations team providing world class support to study delivery teams in standing up and executing trials using innovative Decentralized Trial (DCT) capabilities. As the role of clinical technology evolves to now include remote activity management, investigational software, digital endpoints, and novel measurement tools, you will coordinate lots of fast evolving moving solutions to ensure the desired outcomes are met for our patients and providers. You will work alongside Quality and Regulatory to ensure our solutions remain in compliance. You will partner with the whole of the operations team to figure out and implement efficiencies to deliver DCT capabilities. A successful candidate for this role will have a strong technical curiosity, a passion for customer services to ensure a delightful experience for patients and providers, and a willingness to constantly evolve in this new and innovative space.
Collaborate & Drive Operations
* Develop in-depth trial operations knowledge and strong relationships with business partners.
* Work closely with trial capability leads and clinical trial project managers to ensure traditional and non-traditional technology needs are met.
* Produce and maintain support documentation including issue logging in Service Now, creation of knowledge articles, etc.
* Onboarding/Offboarding resources to trial specific technologies.
* Partner on other support activities including audits, Periodic Reviews, and CAPA tasks.
Technology and Process Definition
* Define the end-to-end study onboarding process for connected clinical.
* Promote architectural consistency and usability standards.
* Design solutions with a high-quality, effortless UX.
* Understand information and data analysis requirements.
* Define, set up, and implement test cases.
* Prototype and co-design for innovative solutions.
Business Led Delivery
* Manage the complete life cycle of the study’s technical needs from design and development to validation, testing, and support.
* Promote new technology opportunities and trends to business.
* Broker internal and external resources.
* Provide consultative support on business-led technology projects.
* Manage requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation.
* Prioritize needs within and across projects.
* Support business case creation and project effort estimation.
* Understand the patient journey and translate into user stories.
* Proactively monitor industry, functional, and technology trends.
* Work with internal teams or external vendors to ensure in-study support for any apps, mobile devices, or digital systems is provided to the clinicians and patients.
Relationship Management & Communication
* Engage with clinical teams and influence protocol decisions.
* Engage delivery teams around shared project vision.
* Support project-level organizational change.
* Communicate emerging business and consumer trends to delivery teams.
* Aid business partners in understanding trade-offs and developing consensus.
* Support enterprise digital strategy and organizational change.
* Train clinicians and administrators on the use of technology.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Technical Science.
* Qualified candidates must be legally authorized for employment in Ireland.
* Experience in working in Scrum - agile methodologies.
* Experience with tools such as Jira, MS Project, or HP ALM.
* High level of personal organization and attention to detail.
* Ability to understand business functionality and translate it into application requirements.
* Experience implementing technical programs in a highly multi-functional environment, with a focus on software aspects.
* Comfortable working on early-stage projects in an environment with ambiguity and change.
* Great teammate and creative problem solver with good communication abilities.
* Solid grasp of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards.
Additional Preferred Skills and Experience:
* Experience defining and delivering highly sophisticated patient technology.
* Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience.
