Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the commercial management of infrastructure projects, including cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting.
">
2. Develop and implement strategies to maximize profitability and minimize financial risks across projects.
">
3. Prepare and review tender submissions, contract negotiations, and project proposals.
">
4. Manage the preparation of accurate valuations, applications for payments, and variations.
">
5. Ensure the timely and accurate submission of cost reports and forecasts to senior management and clients.
">
6. Monitor project performance against budgets and schedules, ensuring financial and commercial targets are met.
">
7. Work closely with project teams to ensure project delivery aligns with commercial objectives.
">
8. Advise on contract terms and conditions, helping to resolve any contractual issues or disputes that arise.
">
9. Manage subcontractor and supplier negotiations and agreements, ensuring best value for the company.
">
10. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.

11. Mentor and lead a team of quantity surveyors and commercial staff, providing guidance and development opportunities.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

* At least 5-7 years' experience in a Commercial Manager role, with a strong background in managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
">
* In-depth knowledge of commercial contract law, procurement practices, and financial management in construction.
">
* Proven experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting for civil engineering projects.
">
* Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
">
* Proficiency in managing project finances and reporting tools.
">
* Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving approach to managing commercial challenges.
">
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
