We are currently seeking highly-motivated Social Care Workers to join our team in Silverpine Respite House, Bray.
Contract Type: Permanent Posts working 39 hours per week (169 hours per month worked on a weekly roster basis).
Relief Posts not allocated set hours.
Salary Scale: €38,107 - €50,953 pro rata per annum.
Salary scales are subject to LSI's (Long Service Increments).
Annual Leave Entitlement: Permanent posts: 31 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.
Relief posts: 10.7% of hours worked.
Overview of Duties & Responsibilities: To work as part of a dedicated and innovative team in a community based house providing respite and holiday breaks for children with physical disabilities, within a quality framework.
Key Working Relationships: Enable Ireland delivers services using the Social Model of Disability and as such has a wide range of stakeholders with whom strong professional relationships need to be forged and fostered on an ongoing basis.
These stakeholders will be clearly identified.

The successful candidate will have: Essential Criteria: 1.
Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc.
(a) Eligible applicants will be those who, on the closing date for the competition: (i) Hold professional registration, or be eligible for registration, on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.
See list of recognised Social Care qualifications at: CORU Approved Qualifications OR (ii) Have a Schedule 3 qualification.
See list of recognised Schedule 3 qualifications at: Schedule 3 Qualifications OR (iii) Have a comparable qualification recognised by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.
OR (iv) Applicants who satisfy the conditions set out in Section 91 of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005 must submit proof of application for registration with the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.
The acceptable proof is correspondence from the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU confirming their application for registration as a Section 91 applicant was received by 30th November 2025.
OR (v) Provide proof of statutory registration on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at COR before a contract of employment can be issued.
AND (b) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability, for the proper discharge of the role.

Annual Registration (i) On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.
AND Experience in contributing to the development of personal plans.
Experience and knowledge of the role of a key worker.
Experience of delivering personal care.
Experience of assisting children with medical needs/administering medication.
Experience of engaging in professional supervision.
Possess a full, clean driving licence.
Eligible to work in the State.
Desirable Criteria: Experience of working with children and families with physical/sensory/intellectual disabilities.
Minimum of 1 year post qualification experience relevant to the role.
