Senior Site Engineer Location: Wicklow, Ireland Sector: Large Healthcare Project Employer: Tier 1 Main Contractor About the Role: On behalf of a tier 1 main contractor renowned for delivering high-quality projects across Ireland, we are seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a major healthcare project in Wicklow. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Site Engineer with a solid background in large-scale construction projects who is ready to take on a senior role on a critical healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent organizational skills, and experience in managing site activities, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Site Engineering & Setting Out: Oversee and carry out accurate setting out, leveling, and surveying on site, ensuring precision in line with project specifications. Technical Supervision: Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings, ensuring accuracy and quality across all site activities. Quality Control: Implement quality assurance practices on-site, ensuring that all work meets the required specifications and standards, with a focus on delivering excellence in healthcare construction. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all health and safety protocols are strictly followed on-site, promoting a safe working environment in accordance with company and regulatory standards. Project Coordination: Coordinate with other engineers, subcontractors, and site staff to ensure seamless project execution and timely progress in line with project milestones. Problem Solving:Identify and resolve any technical issues on site, escalating to the Project Manager or Site Manager as required. Progress Monitoring: Track daily progress, maintaining accurate site records, including reports, drawings, and quality control documentation. Requirements: Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience as a Site Engineer, ideally with experience on large healthcare or similar commercial projects. Technical Skills: Proficiency in surveying equipment and software (e.g., Total Station, GPS) as well as AutoCAD and other construction management software. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methodologies, especially in healthcare facilities, and knowledge of building regulations and standards. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with site teams, clients, and stakeholders.
