You will work closely with our existing team of Quantity Surveyors, Regional Contract Managers, Project Managers, Site and Project Team, and the Finance department.
Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Procurement Specialist based in our head office in Cork (Hybrid). This role involves managing purchase orders, assessing and selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, leveraging analytical skills, and overseeing the organisation's procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with our in-house Design Team to procure the correct products through the client approval process on individual projects.
* Procure all materials related to our scope of work in Data Centres (Typically White Wall, Fixings, Flashings, Specialist Doors, Security Mesh, Suspended Ceilings, HAC Materials, etc.).
* Source and procure all materials related to office spaces in Data Centres (Stud Walling, Ceilings, Joinery, Specialist Security equipment, Finishes Materials, etc.).
* Source and procure all materials related to our Domestic Projects (Materials for Pharma, Dairy, Industrial & Potential DC Projects).
* Manage all suppliers to ensure timely site deliveries.
* Coordinate deliveries and call-offs with Holden Design & Site Teams.
* Own the entire materials procurement process within Holden.
* Work under Holden’s Commercial Department.
* Assist the Commercial Department with the procurement of subcontractors when required.
* Identify global suppliers we can partner with across multiple jurisdictions.
* Ensure robustness of the supply base by identifying alternative suppliers for key materials.
* Work with the Estimating Team to ensure they are tendering using the most up-to-date supplier pricing for the relevant jurisdiction and assist with securing quotes from our suppliers where necessary for significant spend items in tenders.

* Supplier Evaluation and Contract Negotiation skills.
* Strong Analytical Skills.
* Experience in procurement processes.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
* Knowledge of contract management principles.
* Relevant certification in procurement or supply chain management.
