ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary role of the Supply Planning Manager of Northern Cluster (Mexcam & Andean countries) is to lead the group of supply planners (most of them based in Argentina and some others remote in Mexico) in delivering an effective and efficient supply planning process for the cluster and region achieving desired levels of Case Fill Rate and Inventory with positive impact on cost. The supply planning manager is entrusted to develop and maintain professional relationships with local and remote supply chain partners. This position is charged with making decisions that impact the supply plan and communicating those decisions to stakeholders. The role expands to include contributing to special projects (globally for the supply planning community) and other supply chain and business strategy initiatives. This person is a well-rounded individual who encompasses analytical, communication, and leadership skills. They can quickly identify deviations from expected results and other disruptions and are able to promptly resolve issues. The supply planning manager will also be accountable for the Supply Review (S&OE and Step 3) within the region for the S&OP process, ensuring an efficient, effective, and reliable review driven by an unbiased, collaborative process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Be the functional lead, representing the cluster supply planning community and ensuring alignment with the regional/global roadmap.
2. Lead, coach, and develop all the supply planners.
3. Harmonize, drive, and continuously improve Supply Planning Strategies, Processes, and Toolset within the cluster.
4. Ensure compliance to the globally defined Supply Planning strategies, processes, working procedures, metrics, and tools within the team.
5. Develop and enhance the Supply Planning technical skills and competencies in the Region, by assessing and identifying knowledge gaps and running relevant education/training or hands-on sessions.
6. Ensure strong leadership in managing supply planning to balance customer satisfaction and inventory, driving effective and efficient supply planning for existing and new products.
7. Teach supply planners the effect of their supply plan on the rest of the execution chain and the rippling effect of their metrics.
8. Review KPI performance against targets driving a culture of true root cause analysis with action plans and strong performance management, including engagement with cross-functional teams to correctly address true root causes.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related business field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain or Business experience.
3. Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated results and working in a team-based, cross-functional environment.
4. At least 3 years of management or leadership experience.
5. Advanced level of English.
6. Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate with business stakeholders.
7. Ability to drive action and influence decision making at all levels of the organization.
8. Strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands.
9. Proficiency in process improvement.
10. Ability to work within high-performing teams in highly collaborative environments.
11. Quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
2. SAP - APO - KINEXIS planning systems experience.
3. Knowledge of other supply chain functions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Full-Time job that probably could require overtime due to 3 hours’ time-fence difference between Mexico and Argentina.
2. Once-weekly remote work for eligible employees.
3. Contract for an Undetermined Time.
4. This role is not eligible for relocation.
5. Travel to Mexico and Andean countries will be necessary (full week in 2 or 3 times a year).
