National Broadband Ireland (NBI) is currently accepting applications for the role of Commercial Administrator to join their growing team!
Overview
We're National Broadband Ireland and we're delivering the largest telecommunications project that Ireland has ever seen. We're designing, building and operating Ireland's new, high-speed wholesale broadband network under the National Broadband Plan. Our aim is to radically transform the country's broadband landscape through the delivery of quality, affordable high-speed broadband to all parts of Ireland where such services are not available commercially.
The NBI network using a combination of State subsidy and commercial investment will deliver high-speed broadband to over 1.1 million people and over 569,000 premises in Ireland. No matter how remote or rural, no town, village or community will be left behind. NBI will be responsible for the management of the new national broadband network for the next 25 years.
Key Objectives / Accountabilities:
NBI Deployment is looking for an experienced Commercial Administrator to provide support to the Commercial Team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist Quantity Surveyors with day to day, weekly and monthly commercial reporting as required.
2. Checking and evaluating subcontractor claims for blockages of ducting.
3. Assist with the administration of applications for payment and payment of subcontractors to ensure positive cash flow where possible and fair valuations.
4. Assist in the preparation of monthly subcontractor reports.
5. Assist in the preparation of monthly subcontract payment certificates.
6. Assist in preparation of sub-contract accruals. Agree/present to Surveyor.
7. Issue contra-charges as appropriate/directed.
8. Working alongside Commercial Team to ensure compliance with Internal procedures.
9. Participate in monthly commercial reviews.
10. Maintain contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, contractor contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports and other documents for all projects.
11. General office duties including accurate collation and storage of information.
12. Processing and issuing sub-contract orders for approval by surveyors.
13. Administration duties at Procurement stage, preparing enquiry packs, collating tender.
14. Assisting the Quantity Surveyors with the preparation and justification of any variations or claims permitted under the contract(s) with the Department, contractors or suppliers.
15. Ability to collaborate and work in a cross functional environment and build relationships internally.
Knowledge & Experience:
1. Commercial experience in infrastructure and/or telecommunications industry.
2. Extensive understanding of the civil engineering/infrastructure/utilities industry.
3. Good attention to detail, with a methodical and analytical approach to work.
4. Excellent IT skills.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Hands on, flexible can-do attitude with a strong work ethic.
7. Excellent ambassador for NBI, promoting the organisation and role modelling NBI's values.
