CARE ASSISTANT

We are creating a panel to fill Relief Care Assistant vacancies in our services in the locations set out above.
Relief hours are available to cover staff on leave including holidays, maternity leave etc.
Twilight Hours are also available in Limerick City – (shift patterns are 8.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. to 12.00 midnight)
Panels will be formed as a result of this campaign from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.
Care Assistant 13-point scale €32,699 - €45,984 (pro-rata)

The role of a Care Assistant
Care Assistants provide a key-working caring role for a group of People Supported by the Services. This role comprises two main elements. Firstly the Care Assistant is responsible for all aspects of personal care required during the day. This includes meals, personal hygiene and other related aspects of physical well-being. Secondly, a major focus of the Care Assistant role is to assist and support People Supported by the Services with development on Individual Plans and achievement of associated outcomes. In addition, a critical component of this role is to support People Supported by the Services in community participation and integration.
All applicants are required to:
* Have a minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in an appropriate or relevant field
* Hold a full manual driving license which qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish roads
