We are recruiting for a Senior Health & Safety Consultant to deliver expert Health & Safety consultancy solutions into Client sites to a very high standard and to maintain and promote our brand by demonstrating excellence and expertise, with a passion for continuous improvement.
Overview of duties
* To deliver Behaviour-Based Safety consultancy solutions into Client sites to a very high standard
* To carry out risk assessment, training & auditing to professional standards
* To develop strong client relationships over the long term in the interests of client retention
* To demonstrate the competence and confidence to walk into any client sector and positively influence decision-makers from the outset
* To demonstrate the ‘political’ awareness to self-manage in complex organisations at all levels
* To manage client expectations to ensure the success of the project / intervention / solution
* To develop clients from a reactive & rules-based minimal Safety regime to a proactive and engagement-based Health, Wellness, & Safety environment
* To design bespoke solutions and programmes for Clients and create accompanying documents, presentations and assets
Person specification
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
* Working knowledge and understanding of Behaviour-Based Safety Programmes
* Proven track record of successful Client Account Management
* Experience in one or more of the following work environments: FMCG/ Pharmaceutical/ Construction/ Warehousing/ Logistics/ Healthcare/ SMEs/ Retail/ Hospitality
* Ability to ‘read’ situations, scope requirements in Client sites to manage accounts effectively
* Excellent communicator & facilitator; good with people, and commands respect
* The maturity and professionalism to deal successfully with all levels of client organisations
* Can develop strong professional relationships and manage client accounts effectively
* Ethical, with very strong integrity; reliable
Education / and or Experience
* Third Level qualification in Health & Safety, or equivalent; Diploma level may also suffice depending on calibre of candidate
* Qualified to deliver a range of H&S training & assessment
* Robust working knowledge of applicable H&S Legislation and regulations
* Fluency in written and verbal English
* Full and clean driver’s licence
Desired but not essential –
* Masters level qualification or above in Health & Safety, or equivalent
* Experience and expertise in delivering behaviour-based safety programmes
* Experience and expertise in specific OSH deliverables such as safety culture assessment, emergency response plans, explosive protection documentation, traffic management plans, business continuity plans, ISO 45001
