This role is part of a JJOS MAKE Deployment Team to support implementation of the JJOS and to improve effectiveness and efficiency of MAKE processes. Overall responsibilities will include the deployment on request, of the JJOS Business Process Standards across all segments and franchises of MedTech and Innovative Medicines, from the request for support to the generation of sustainable value for the business. Enabling this value generation (Cost, Cash & Service) will often require collaboration with PLAN, SOURCE, and DELIVER, as well as integrating innovative new technologies to support supply chain capabilities.
The MAKE JJOS pillar consists of 10 Business Process Standards supported by a playbook, a library of diagnostic tools, and standardized approaches to the design and implementation process for all stages. The JJOS Deployment Agent will master this methodology and apply it, maintaining the playbook as a fundamental reference and adapting its utilization to the context of their intervention and the maturity of the organization’s capabilities.
The goal of the JJOS Deployment Agent Sr Manager is to deliver groundbreaking results across a range of key supply chain metrics. The person’s interventions will lead to problem solving, by handling workstream teams and keeping them focused on impact. They will ensure that proposed solutions align with JJOS principles and practices (based on Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, etc.) and that implementations are timely and deliver the expected impact.
This position is accountable for ensuring that interventions result in sustainable value generation, influencing partners before, during, and after them. It will also require training and coaching of local deployment teams to develop the right capabilities, ensuring understanding and adoption, and enabling continuous improvement of the implemented solutions. Demonstrating the SC Academy and SC Excellence SMEs will be resources to be mobilized by the Deployment Agent when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver transformational results:
Spearheading work streams - Progress and deliver intermediate and end-results:
* Phase reports (e.g. diagnostics, design packs, TIPs etc.).
* Supporting analysis and evidence.
* Ensure overall quality standard – solutions are aspirational and technically correct.
* Understand diagnostic results and the levers that will lead to enhanced performance.
* Review TIPs and ensure landmarks link to gaining full diagnosed value.
* Ensure area and plant metrics will track and reinforce improvement.
* Provide mentorship to site JJOS leads and plant managers to bring together both operational and financial impact.
1. Implement JJOS MAKE Business Process Standards and apply standard methodology:
Know the playbook in full, being able to select and apply the appropriate process (Diagnose, Confirm, Design, Plan, Implement, Sustain) and JJOS elements, practices, tools and standards; be able to guide others.
2. Ensure standardized process is adhered to and all key milestones are met at high quality.
3. Generate sustainable value:
Look for integration of proposed solutions into ongoing local programs.
4. Develop the needed capabilities to implement and sustain the designed future state.
5. Ensure a continuous improvement system is in place to apply standardized solutions.
6. Get support from SC Excellence resources to contribute to capability building plans.
7. Ensure sites build capabilities for sustainable change.
Qualifications:
Education:
Science or Engineering degree and shown experience in Manufacturing Environment (internal or external). An MBA or equivalent experience is helpful.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
* Understanding of financial, operating and business factors relating to Supply Chain.
* Demonstrated ability with Change Management.
* Ability to lead and drive an organization.
* Outstanding ‘Lean Attitude’.
* Demonstrated ability to get things done through influence versus line responsibility.
* The ability to support and coach teams and change agents throughout the deployment.
* Connect with conviction at all levels (both written and verbally).
* Advocate strongly for operational excellence principles.
* Think strategically and develop plans to reach objectives in context of on-the-ground team support, knowledge codification, and development of expertise.
* Plan, prioritize, and organize complex tasks.
* Solve problems by applying structured root cause problem solving tools and mentor others to apply them.
Preferred:
* Process excellence background (Lean certification / Six Sigma).
Other:
* Fluency in English is required, other language(s) preferred.
* There is a travel requirement for this role of up to 50%.
