This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Technical Manager to shape the future of the factory, ensuring a robust technical foundation before full-scale production begins.
About the Role
As the Technical Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and developing the technical and quality systems at the company’s Irish facility. Reporting to the Group Head of Technical, you will have the unique opportunity to build, implement, and maintain food safety, quality, and compliance standards at the site. With ambitious plans to expand operations in Ireland, including a second site near Dublin in the next two years, this role offers significant scope for professional growth and impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage the site's technical systems, ensuring compliance with BRCGS, HACCP, and all relevant food safety regulations.
* Lead the implementation of quality control processes, including conducting audits and overseeing trial production quality assurance.
* Act as the site’s primary liaison with external bodies, including auditors, customers, and regulatory agencies.
* Build, train, and mentor a high-performing technical and quality team.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations from trial production to full-scale manufacturing.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
* Prepare the site for scaling operations in alignment with the company's expansion plans.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in technical or quality management within the food manufacturing industry, preferably in ready-to-eat or high-risk environments.
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards, including BRCGS and HACCP Level 3 (or higher).
* Experience in managing audits and compliance processes.
* Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to work in a dynamic and evolving environment, with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is preferred.
