Our Presence in Ireland
We serve the Irish market with a diverse range of healthcare products including diagnostics, medical devices and nutritionals products. In Ireland, we employ over 6,000 people across ten sites, with manufacturing facilities located in Clonmel, Cootehill, Donegal, Longford and Sligo, as well as commercial, support operations and shared services in Dublin and Galway.
Purpose Statement
We provide process and quality engineering support to manufacturing, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers. We also support product development teams in developing high-quality new products.
Main Responsibilities
* Identify manufacturing process defects by dispositioning non-conforming material, identifying primary root causes and suggesting corrective and preventative actions.
* Assist in developing product quality plans, documents and systems by providing input to product specifications, quality specifications, quality plans, risk analyses and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA).
* Become skilled at using process monitoring systems to identify critical process steps and reduce process variation to eliminate defects.
* Assist in product/process improvement efforts by systematically gathering quality metric data and analyzing methods to enhance sustaining product design and new product development.
* Become skilled at using quality tools and training materials.
* Participate in validation activities, including protocol/report writing and managing execution of validation activities.
* Participate in corrective and preventive action activity.
* Participate in Field Discrepancy Notification (FDN) investigations.
Education & Experience
We require a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum 2+ years of related work experience is required.
This role requires working technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices and procedures, as well as general understanding of business unit/group function. The ability to perform this job in a quality system environment is essential.
