We are currently recruiting for Warehouse & Support Services Team Leader in the Supply Chain Department
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure safety standards are met and safe working practices adhered to.
Recommend/Implement improvements to same standards and foster continuous improvement culture to safety.
Liaise directly with other departments in accident/incident investigations and address any issues arising from these investigations.
Ensure area is operating to standards set by Warehouse & Support Services Manager.
Ensure area is operating to the required quality level/standard.
Ensure product conforms to Abbott and customer requirements.
Ensure all documents are adhered to.
Ensure GMP requirements are maintained.
Ensure all employees are performing effectively and efficiently.
Ensure area is working within budgeted cost constraints.
Ensure wastage is kept to minimum levels.
Liaise directly with all service departments in an effective manner to ensure support services are fully utilized.
Plan and control Receiving, Storage and Staging/ Returns operations including inventory transactions for Manufacturing Process Orders and relevant inventory adjustments.
Responsible for Receiving and Work In Progress warehouses, cold rooms and chemical stores.
Ensure schedules are met.
Anticipate and instigate a plan to deal with employee problems within timeline decided and in conjunction with Warehouse & Support Services ManagerEnsure harmonious working conditions and relationships are maintained.
Ensure personnel are properly trained.
Ensure regular appraisals are carried out, training needs identified, training plans agreed and completed.
Ensure all employees, including those not under her/his direct supervision comply with all company rules and regulations.
Maintain a positive attendance management procedure.
Motivate employees and build teams to support the plant's policy of continuous improvement towards the concept of zero defects.
Ensure all direct reports are fully trained cross and booster trained with regard to safety, method and efficiency and maintain all relevant training records up to date.
Optimise the use of human resources by encouraging an atmosphere of involvement, open communications and effective teamwork.
Ensure that material is disposed as per the AIDD waste management programme.
Promote recycling and solicit participation and ideas to develop and improve the waste management programme.
Ensure that any events that have the potential to cause environmental loss or damage are reported immediately.
Participate in all EHS awareness activities.
Leadership Activities:
Provide clear direction and define goals.
Build an effective team.
Seek appropriate input before making decisions.
Ensure regular appraisals are carried out with team members.
Develop skills of team members by providing necessary training support.
Education & Experience:
Third Level Qualification in a relevant discipline or relevant warehouse/manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of GMP requirements in healthcare/pharmaceutical plant, desirable as would give understanding of requirements of the medical industry.3 years previous supervisory experience.
Experience of manufacturing essential for understanding of day-to-day work practices.
Previous diagnostic experience advantageous as would provide a foundation for the disciplines required for working as a Team Leader.
