Job Description
The Senior Project Manager/Surveyor is responsible for managing the planning, execution, and management of the engineering, data acquisition and reporting of marine surveys.
* Lead and manage the execution of marine surveys (hydrographic, geophysical, geotechnical & environmental campaigns).
* Lead and manage the survey support team (owners engineer support) and survey contractor.
* Manage and report on survey contract, cost, schedule, quality, advising on variations and key risks and opportunities.
* Work with consents and regulatory team to ensure all permits, consents and licenses are in place for execution.
* Work closely with the project team to ensure surveys are aligned with key project decisions and design requirements.
* Provide regular updates on project status, deliverables, and any issues that may arise.
* Troubleshooting – Provide guidance and support to team members on complex issues.
* Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of survey data.
* Develop and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
* Ensure robust risk assessments are carried out and that all survey operations comply with regulations and best practices.
* Promote a culture of safety and cooperation within the team.
* Report and investigate any incidents, accidents, or near-misses, implementing corrective actions.
* In conjunction with the public engagement team, lead fishery engagement and community liaison activities to ensure community support of the project.
Qualifications
* Master's degree (or equivalent) in geoscience disciplines.
* Hold a relevant third level qualification preferably in Engineering or related Project management discipline.
* Experience in managing large or multiple infrastructure/capital projects and teams.
* 15 years of demonstrated offshore experience.
* Technical knowledge of MBES, SSS, SBP, MAG, and UHRS surveys (Acquisition + Processing) and geotechnical equipment and environmental surveying.
