Job Summary: Cork Depot/Fleet Assistant
Reporting to the Contracts Manager
Fleet Responsibilities:
1. Updating Fleet management system on a regular basis. Ensuring all Certs and documentation are up to date.
2. Scheduling any CVRT and or servicing and repairs to be done.
3. Dealing directly with suppliers for repairs, maintenance, tires, etc.
4. Coordinating with the Fleet Manager on all repairs or servicing ensuring no downtime.
5. Liaising with drivers on all breakdowns.
6. Maintaining the fleet to a high standard of cleanliness and roadworthiness.
7. Upkeep of vehicle cleaning area.
Depot Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining the general tidiness of the depot, including the yard and car park areas.
2. Keeping the racking tidy and safe, ensuring all the relevant stock types are blocked together and easy to count.
3. With training, programming of lights for different jobs and projects.
4. Picking materials for upcoming jobs and or maintenance.
5. Meeting deliveries as they come in.
6. Labeling of stock as it comes in, creating labels and placing in correct areas.
7. Assist with transfers of stock from the depot to projects or maintenance as required.
8. Assist with transferring of stock from Deadsure reports each morning.
9. Maintaining the yard to a high standard, keeping areas clear and tidy, forklift sweeper used to keep surfaces clear.
10. Occasionally valeting vehicles if needed, also using the pressure washer to keep the fleet in good order.
11. Assisting with fleet management and upkeep.

Required Qualifications:
1. Requirement – Clean Drivers License
2. Requirement – C license.
Education
Leaving cert
Experience:
1. Previous experience of working in a store/depot.
2. Experience of stock management.
3. Previous experience working in the construction industry is highly desirable.
4. Previous experience of working with Fleet.
5. Previous experience of procurement is highly desirable.
Certifications:
1. Organizational Skills – Maintaining tidiness, stock management, and prioritizing tasks.
2. Attention to Detail – Accurate labeling, stock placement, and quality checks.
3. Manual Handling – Lifting, moving stock, and operating equipment.
4. Technical Skills – Willingness to learn programming and use inventory systems.
5. Communication & Teamwork – Coordinating stock transfers and assisting fleet management.
6. Time Management – Handling daily tasks efficiently and meeting deadlines.
7. Problem-Solving Abilities – Resolving stock discrepancies and maintenance issues.
8. Health & Safety Awareness – Following safety procedures and keeping work areas hazard-free.
9. IT Skills – Excellent IT skills across Microsoft suite.
