Energia, a company that powers greener and fairer futures, seeks a highly motivated Manufacturing Technician to join our team at Huntstown Power Station in Dublin 11.
This is a hybrid working opportunity where you will be part of our operations and maintenance team responsible for the two Huntstown CCGT power plants and balance of plant systems. The successful candidate will bring passion, self-assurance, integrity and troubleshooting skills to this challenging role.
As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
* Operating and maintaining the two power plants to meet electricity production targets while ensuring safety policies and environmental compliance are upheld.
* Starting up, shutting down, sustaining and re-configuring combined cycle gas turbine plant and associated equipment.
* Monitoring, diagnosing and rectifying operational problems, with the ability to troubleshoot complex plant issues.
* Building knowledge and understanding to maintain the highest levels of availability, efficiency and reliability of the power station.
* Promoting a culture of safety, health and wellbeing among all personnel working in the power plant.
* Compiling detailed technical reports and procedures on plant process and performance.
* Promoting continuous improvement and implementing improvements in all areas of the power station.
* Developing innovative approaches to improve systems and processes as necessary.

The ideal candidate will have:
* Completion of a time-served apprenticeship or third-level qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, C&I or Automation Engineering.
* Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues on production equipment, such as mechanical, electrical, automation, control and process chemistry.
* Experience in operating and/or maintaining production plant and equipment.
* Demonstrable experience drafting and updating operating procedures and technical reports.
