We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to manage the financial function and support our Managing Director on the Cork/Kerry border. This is a fixed-term 11-month contract.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare annual and monthly financial accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations, for submission to our Group Financial Controller.
* Manage credit control, including accounts receivable and payable, queries, reconciliations, and debtor collection.
* Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and oversee cash flow management.
* Develop and monitor the annual operating budget, reporting performance against agreed key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Compile projections and business plans.
* Complete Grant Claim Forms and necessary documentation.
* Liaise with external auditors and insurance brokers during the annual insurance renewal process.
* Process fortnightly and monthly payroll.
* Review monthly employee expense claims.
* Determine product costs and costing methods.
* Maintain and file company HR documents.
* Submit statutory returns, including CSO returns, VIES, Intrastats, RCT, and VAT.
* Offer advice on financial matters and suggest improvements to business performance.
* Perform ad hoc general accounting tasks as required by our Managing Director.
The ideal candidate holds ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualifications and has at least 2 years of experience in industry. Salary is negotiable based on experience.
