Job Title: Data Centre Infrastructure Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Centre Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of installation, configuration, and maintenance processes for servers, storage, and networking equipment.
About the Role:
* Develop and Monitor IT Equipment Installation Process: Develop and monitor the IT equipment installation process and ensure that the vendor strictly adheres to specifications.
* Manage IT Equipment Installers: Manage IT equipment installers, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and monitoring the quality of work.
* Review and Approve IT Equipment Installation Plans: Review and approve IT equipment installation plans to ensure compliance with data center regulations and security requirements.
* Supervise IT Equipment Installation: Supervise the whole process of IT equipment installation, cabling, configuration, and testing to ensure that acceptance specifications are met.
* Monitor Spare Parts Replacement Process: Monitor the spare parts replacement process, including fault diagnosis, spare parts application, replacement, and test verification.
* Perform Routine Inspections: Perform routine inspections of data center equipment to ensure that all equipment is operating properly and capacity requirements are met.
* Respond to Emergencies: Quickly respond to and handle emergencies and faults to ensure the stability and security of the equipment room.
* Optimize Spare Parts Management System: Review and optimize the spare parts management system to improve spare parts utilization and replacement efficiency.
* Coordinate with Suppliers: Coordinate with the supplier to maintain devices and rectify faults, and ensure that specified process and time requirements are complied with.
* Assess Quality of Work: Regularly assess the quality of work performed by suppliers, provide feedback, and drive improvement.
* Manage Internal IT O&M Team: Manage the internal IT O&M team and train team members to master the latest IT equipment management and troubleshooting skills.
* Develop SOPs: Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IT equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
* Work with Procurement: Work with Procurement to ensure that purchased IT equipment and spare parts meet technical requirements and compatibility standards of the data center.
Requirements:
* Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field.
* Experience: Data center IT O&M experience preferred.
* Skills: In-depth knowledge of installation, configuration, and maintenance processes for servers, storage, and networking equipment.
* Project Management: IT project management experience, familiar with planning and execution of IT equipment installation projects.
* People Management: Excellent people management skills with ability to effectively manage and coordinate installers and technicians.
* Security Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of data center operational security practices and procedures.
* Certifications: Professional certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, and ITIL.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
* Problem Analysis: Strong problem analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with strong sense of responsibility.
