The EMEA Energy and Water team is looking for a Water Infrastructure Manager to support scaling and growth across our Data Centre network. If you like to drive the development, implementation and construction of new water infrastructure, your work will help deliver large-scale water projects that our infrastructure needs to renewably and strategically operate.

We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. This role is available in Madrid or Zaragoza.
Key job responsibilities
1. You will manage design consultants, contractual drafting, develop and document requirements, budgets, and project schedules.
2. You will manage remote 3rd project delivery teams from design through to construction, and facilitate technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot project implementation issues.
3. You will multitask and re-prioritize effectively based on ever-changing business needs.
4. You will build and maintain overall delivery program and project budget, submitting Capital Allocation Requests to senior leadership.
5. You will prepare investment need/business case papers to secure internal funding for water reinforcement projects.
A day in the life
1. Liaison with a wide range of regulators and external stakeholders (Water utilities, environmental agencies, health department, construction contractors, etc).
2. You will leverage project management tools and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle.
3. Regularly report to senior leadership on status of key project metrics.
4. Ensure construction standards are followed and national construction regulations are complied with.
5. Create detailed planning packs to build scalable and future-proof water infrastructure.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Civil Engineering/Economics/Business.
2. 10+ years’ combined work experience delivering water design infrastructure and engineering solutions.
3. Fluency in Spanish.
4. 3+ years demonstrated experience with analytical and commercial skill set to review utility tariffs, water projects and contracts.
5. 3+ years of experience managing project scope, business case and infrastructure requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. 7+ years of direct experience with the construction, operation, or maintenance of water infrastructure.
2. Advanced degree in Civil Engineering/Mechanical/Chemical/Environmental/Economics.
3. Experience with fast track design/build projects and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
4. Analytical mindset that can identify gaps in requirements during project development.
5. Business experience in Europe, LATAM and/or Middle East.
6. 5+ years of experience in program management and risk mitigation.
