Join Ireland's leading renewable energy solution provider in a dynamic position as Contracts Manager. This company promotes green energy solutions and supports customers in transitioning from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
They provide biomass and solar renewable energy technologies and solutions, seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to progress their career and contribute to the energy transition.
The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director and be part of the leadership team, overseeing Solar PV Projects, including costing and installation, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
This role suits someone from an electrical or mechanical background in construction, with previous experience in Solar PV projects not essential as training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead project preparation, including site team definition, documentation review and validation, procurement of equipment, and subcontractors.
* Manage execution of one or several PV solar projects safely and within schedule, budget, and quality.
* Achieve project completion on time, under budget, and with highest quality and HSA standards.
* Lead compliance with all Health and Safety requirements.
* Ensure project control processes: cost controls, contract management, and scheduling.
* Lead project team members both within organisation and contractors.
* Effectively communicate with project stakeholders, provide project progress and alternative plans for possible deviations.
* Interface directly with client at project level on key contracts.
* Identify potential problems, take preventive measures, and determine response actions to mitigate negative impact (always have a plan B).
* Deliver projects in line with project contractual obligations.
* Project reporting (internal and external).
* Establish cost reports and KPIs for project control.
Candidate Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related)
* Minimum 5 years project management experience with medium to large-size electrical/mechanical projects (preferably in energy sector)
* Qualification in Project Management or PMP is a plus.
* Experience in Contract, Risk, and Procurement Management.
* Deep knowledge of project controls (cost controls, contract management, and scheduling).
* Working knowledge of planning software.
* HSE & Quality Management - Compliance with policies and procedures.
