The Senior Manager Accounting role will be responsible for leading the Inventory Accounting team based in Limerick, supporting the Company's biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Limerick and International entities.
A typical day may include:
* Reporting of monthly actual results for inventory for international entities
* Responsible for Profit in Inventory Elimination for international entities
* Reviewing and maintaining the company's inventory and standard cost system, including annual standards development
* Reviewing and handling the company's inventory and standard cost system Oracle Process Manufacturing
* Working with Master Data Management to ensure production Recipes / BOMs are accurate and reflected in Standard Costing calculations
* Reviewing Sub Ledger (Production, Inventory, Purchasing, Revaluation, Order Management)
* Responsible for coordination and review of quarterly inventory reserves
* Assisting with all audit requests from internal and external auditors
* Collaborating closely with the company's corporate accounting department (monthly, quarterly close)
* Verifying accuracy of reports produced by the team and monthly financial results
* Driving consistency and standardization of cost accounting in line with Corporate Policies
* Working closely with IT on the maintenance of Accounting Derivation Rules (ADR) to ensure transactions post accurately
* Collaborating closely with Regeneron's corporate and Rensselaer accounting departments
* Reviewing monthly Project Accounting
* Reviewing Balance Sheet reconciliations for all Inventory accounts
* Assisting in developing and improving internal controls and written policies and procedures, ensuring all accurate internal controls are in place in conformity with Sarbanes Oxley

To be considered for this position, you must hold a professional accountancy qualification with 10+ years post-qualification experience.
A minimum of 5 years people management experience is required.
Experience ideally in a multinational manufacturing environment.
Experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
Knowledge of Oracle Systems is a distinct advantage.
Exposure to US GAAP is an advantage.
