Location: Dublin City
Abrivia are currently recruiting for an Underwriting Assistant to join our client, a Global Reinsurance Company, on a 12-month contract to cover maternity leave. This role is suited to a professional with experience in Insurance or Financial Services who is fluent in Spanish.
The position is based in Dublin, requiring three days per week in the office. A 10% completion bonus will be paid upon successful completion of the contract.
Your Role:
* Provide key administrative and operational support to the Underwriting Team.
* Assist with the underwriting process, ensuring accuracy in data entry and preparation of reports for new and renewal business.
* Support client engagement activities, including preparation for meetings, market events, and conferences.
* Assist in the management of claims and technical accounting processes, ensuring efficient tracking and documentation.
* Maintain accurate underwriting records, updating treaties and market data in internal systems.
* Handle compliance and due diligence queries, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met and maintaining an up-to-date client contact register.
Your Skills:
* Degree in Business, Finance, Insurance/Reinsurance, or a related field.
* Experience in Insurance or Financial Services.
* Strong understanding of underwriting principles and processes.
* Fluent in English and Spanish.
* Proficient in data analysis and reporting with strong attention to detail.
* Valid work permit for Ireland.
* Willingness to travel if required.
Salary & Benefits:
* 22 days’ annual leave
* 1.5 additional privilege days.
* 10% completion bonus on gross salary, payable at the end of the contract
