The Role

The International Renewables and Energy Systems Integration (IRESI) Group is a research centre housed in the School of Business. IRESI's research focuses on propelling sustainable energy systems into the future by helping individuals, organisations, and institutions in the pursuit of a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable energy landscape.
We are seeking three excellent and highly motivated candidates to join our team as Research Assistants supporting the Research Ireland project RENEW. This role will provide research and technical support while contributing to the development of user-friendly digital solutions that advance the commercialization of renewable energy innovations.
The successful candidates will play a key role in assisting the PI and large research team by contributing to the design, testing, and refinement of technical solutions. While some experience in UI/UX development would be beneficial, a strong interest in user experience principles and a willingness to learn are highly valued. The role will also involve collaborating with stakeholders, developers, and product owners to ensure solutions align with the university frameworks and meet the strategic and operational needs of the School of Business.
Positions Available:
1. Research Assistant Level 1 (2024): €31,962 p.a. (1 point)
2. Research Assistant Level 2 (2024): €36,796 p.a. (1 point)
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
