Short Term Incentive Plan Private medical Family coverage Free car parking PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Shift Manager is responsible for all aspects relating to the performance of the team on shift.
They will lead, organize and co-ordinate a team to create an environment which encourages superior performance in terms of quality and productivity.
Shift working to cover a variety of patterns will be required including afternoon, night and weekend shift.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Monitor, control and regulate to ensure production schedules are achieved within cost parameters.
Maintain effective employee relations within the team.
Monitor and control contract costs in line with the annual operating plan.
Ensure that customer specifications are achieved in line with desired cost values.
Ensure agreement on programme constraints with the Production Manager.
Ensure a disciplined approach to housekeeping and promote a safe working environment.
Develop an environment of continuous improvement.
Achieve targets aimed at the continuous development of people.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that sufficient detail is provided on the application form to demonstrate how the applicant meets essential job criteria, as this alone will be used for vetting purposes.
Candidates must have a minimum of an HNC in an engineering / business discipline or possess a NVQ Level 3 in Supervisory Management or equivalent and have a minimum of 1 years experience at a leadership / supervisory / management level within an operations, functional or engineering environment.
OR Have a minimum of 5 years experience in an operations, functional or engineering environment with at least one year at a leadership / supervisory / management level.
