Production Manager
The Production Manager will oversee the operations of a portfolio of generating assets to optimise availability and efficiency while meeting regulatory and organisational targets.
Responsibilities
* Asset Portfolio Management: Oversee the operations of a portfolio of generating assets to optimise availability and efficiency while meeting regulatory and organisational targets.
* Operations Leadership: Lead power plant operations in coordination with maintenance teams, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and environmentally compliant operations within design limits, including operational planning, reporting, and materials management.
* Material & Financial Oversight: Manage materials, purchasing, and contracts to meet standards and budgetary requirements, while working with compliance and trading teams to achieve optimal financial outcomes.
* System Implementation & Compliance: Drive the implementation of business management systems, coordinating with stakeholders to meet commercial, safety, environmental, and quality objectives.
* Team Development & Succession Planning: Develop and execute resource and succession plans, foster team engagement, and ensure delivery of development and performance goals for the operations team.
* Health, Safety, & Welfare: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and welfare provisions for employees and the public.
* Performance Management: Lead and manage direct reports, participating actively in performance processes to meet individual and team objectives.
Requirements
* Education: Bachelors degree in engineering or another related technical discipline.
* Experience: Experience in a production managerial role is essential.
* Skills: Proven experience in the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of steam boiler systems and steam turbine plants, with a strong focus on efficiency, reliability, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
* Presentation Skills: Strong people management skills are essential, including the ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams, foster a collaborative work environment, and effectively manage performance to achieve organisational goals.
This is a permanent, full-time position operating Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all operation functions, ensuring adherence to environmental and health and safety regulations while maximising plant performance to meet the company requirements.
